Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Castelldefels (4-11) was outscored by fifth ranked Barbera (10-5) in Barcelona 91-70 on Sunday. The game without a history. Barbera led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Castelldefels was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for center Luis Lopez (205-95) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Point guard Sergio Guardia (188-88) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Forward Jordi Boronat (-85) replied with 16 points and 7 rebounds and point guard David Haro (190-88) added 14 points in the effort for Castelldefels. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Castelldefels' coach Alex Artigot gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Barbera moved-up to fourth place in Group C-B. Castelldefels lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Barbera will face Muro Basquet (#7) on the road in the next round. Castelldefels will play against the league's leader Mollet (#1) and hope to win that game.
