No shocking result in a game when fourteenth ranked Vitre (10-12) beat at home 17th ranked Lorient (8-14) 80-75. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Vitre players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Montenegrin center Aleksandar Radulovic (207-83) scored 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Guillaume Merie (198-83) chipped in 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU) responded with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and his fellow American import forward Jared Newson (196-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Inception Sports) scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Lorient players scored in double figures. Vitre moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Rennes and Chartres. Newly promoted Lorient keeps the seventeenth position with 14 games lost. Vitre will play against bottom-ranked CFBB (#18) in Paris in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lorient will play at home against Angers BC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
