Regular Season Round 6: Freiburg - MBK Ruzomb. 62-52

An interesting game for German Eisvogel Freiburg (2-2) which hosted in Freiburg second-best Slovakian MBK Ruzomberok (1-3). Third ranked Eisvogel Freiburg managed to get a 10-point victory 62-52. It was a key game for the second position in Group A. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 62-52. Eisvogel Freiburg dominated on the defensive end, holding MBK Ruzomberok to just 4 points in second quarter. Eisvogel Freiburg forced 22 MBK Ruzomberok turnovers. It was a good game for American swingman Kristen McCarthy (182-90, college: Temple) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Serbian guard Jovana Vukoje (174-86) contributed with 10 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Eisvogel Freiburg's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canadian forward Taijah Campbell (190-94, college: Virginia Tech) replied with 11 points and 9 rebounds and Lucia Kelcikova (176-96) added 11 points in the effort for MBK Ruzomberok. Eisvogel Freiburg moved-up to second place in Group A. MBK Ruzomberok at the other side dropped to the bottom position with three games lost.
