Regular Season Round 6: Kentucky M. - Rochester R. 102-91

There was a change at the PBL leadership position after last games. The most important game of round 6 was a defeat of league's leader Rochester RazorSharks (6-1). They were defeated by first ranked Mavericks (7-1) 102-91 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Rochester RazorSharks. It was a key game for the top position in the league. They outrebounded Rochester RazorSharks 57-45 including 18 on the offensive glass. 29 personal fouls committed by Rochester RazorSharks helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Swingman Robert Crawford (201-90, college: Cent.Arkansas) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Josh Johnson (198-90) chipped in 15 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Corey Allmond (188-88, college: Sam Houston St.) with 27 points and 6 rebounds and Nigerian power forward Ayodele Coker (208-88, college: St.John's) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Five Mavericks and four Rochester RazorSharks players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mavericks have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-1 record. Defending champion Rochester RazorSharks dropped to the second place with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Kentucky M.. Rochester RazorSharks will play next round against strong Hurricanes trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Mavericks will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Rochester RazorSharks at home.
