Regular Season Round 12: Strumica - Pelister Bitola 66-64

Important game to mention about took place in Strumica. Fifth ranked Strumica (5-6) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Pelister Bitola (4-8) 66-64 in the fight for the fifth place. Pelister Bitola was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 22-14 third quarter run of Strumica. Strangely Pelister Bitola outrebounded Strumica 42-21 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian forward Petar Jokic (201-91) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Eftim Bogoev (185-80) who added 15 points and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Montenegrin center Miko Golubovic (206-82, agency: Global Sports Plaza) with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Gjorgi Anakievski (185-85) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Strumica maintains fifth position with 5-6 record. Pelister Bitola lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth place with eight games lost. Strumica will play against league's second-placed Feni Industries in Kavadarci in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Pelister Bitola will play at home against the league's leader Rabotnicki (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
