Regular Season Round 6: Kentucky M. - Dubois D. 114-85

PBL top team - Mavericks (7-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Dream (0-10) in Owensboro 114-85. Mavericks dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Dream's 50 and made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Mavericks forced 20 Dream turnovers and outrebounded them 62-45 including 17 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Dream's players. It was a good game for swingman Robert Crawford (201-90, college: Cent.Arkansas) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Marcus Fillyaw (185-94, college: Ky Wesleyan, agency: Paris Global Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Point guard Anthony Jackson (180-85) replied with 26 points and 8 rebounds and center Julius Francis (211, college: Miss.Valley St.) added 15 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Dream. Five Mavericks and four Dream players scored in double figures. Mavericks have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-1 record. Dream at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. Mavericks' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Rochester RazorSharks at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Dream will play against Warhawks (#7) in Washington and hopes to get finally their first victory.
