Regular Season Round 35: Tianjin GL - Shanghai S. 102-113

CBA top team - Shanghai Sharks (29-6) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eleventh ranked TianJin Steel (18-18) in Tianjin 113-102. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of TianJin Steel. Shanghai Sharks dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to TianJin Steel's 50. It was a great evening for American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) who led his team to a victory scoring 45 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists. French Guerschon Yabusele (201-95) helped adding 17 points and 10 rebounds. Palestinian center Sani Sakakini (204-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Jeremy Tyler (208-91, college: Louisville) scored 28 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shanghai Sharks have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 29-6 record, which they share with Xinjiang FT. TianJin Steel at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 18 games lost. Shanghai Sharks will play against Beijing Ducks (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. TianJin Steel will play against Fujian and hopes to get back on the winning track.
