Regular Season Round 35: Qingdao E. - Xinjiang FT 102-110

Very expected game when 12th ranked Qingdao Eagles (15-20) lost at home to second ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (29-6) 110-102 on Sunday. American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Stealth Sport) orchestrated the victory by scoring 42 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists. International center Qi Zhou (217-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. Greek center Loukas Mavrokefalidis (207-84) answered with 33 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) added 14 points and 8 assists in the effort for Qingdao Eagles. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Xinjiang Flying Tige have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Shanghai S. Qingdao Eagles lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 20 games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige will face bottom-ranked Bayi Rockets (#20) in Ningbo in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Qingdao Eagles will play at home against Shanxi Zhongyu (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
