Regular Season Round 27: Uppsala - Nassjo 80-69

Date: February 13, 2017
No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Uppsala Basket (13-10) beat at home 7th ranked Nassjo (11-13) 80-69. It looked good early as Nassjo took a 12-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Uppsala Basket took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 11 points. 26 personal fouls committed by Nassjo helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Alexander Lindqvist (205-91, agency: Interperformances) who scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. The former international center Carl Engstrom (216-91, college: Alabama) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Uppsala Basket players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Reginald Johnson (191-94, college: Hampton) who recorded 20 points and the other American import center Dartaye Ruffin (205-91, college: Drexel, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Uppsala Basket moved-up to fourth place. Nassjo at the other side keeps the seventh position with 13 games lost. Uppsala Basket will have a break next round. Nassjo will play at home against Malbas (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
