Regular Season Round 24: Trefl II Sopot - Suchy Las 68-56

Rather expected game when 11th ranked Suchy Las (5-17) were defeated on the road by eighth ranked Trefl II Sopot (12-10) 68-56 on Saturday. Trefl II Sopot forced 31 Suchy Las turnovers. The best player for the winners was Sebastian Walda (194-0) who scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Ignacy Grochowski (202-98) chipped in 10 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Maciej Leszczynski (189-99) who recorded 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Marcin Woroniecki (185-0) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Trefl II Sopot moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Rybnik. Newly promoted Suchy Las keep the eleventh position with 17 games lost. Trefl II Sopot will face league's second-placed SMS PZKosz in Wladyslawowo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Suchy Las will play on the road against the league's leader Pelplin (#1) in Pelpin and hope to win that game.
