Regular Season Round 18: Massagno - Geneve Lions 64-85

Date: February 18, 2017
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Geneve Lions (10-6) crushed on the road 9th ranked Massagno (5-11) 85-64 on Saturday. The game without a history. Geneve Lions led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The former international forward Marko Mladjan (205-93) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Geneve Lions players scored in double figures. Geneve Lions' coach Jean-Marc Jaumin felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Warren Niles (196-89, college: ORU, agency: Two Points) replied with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Quinton Day (185-84, college: UMKC) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Massagno. Geneve Lions will face Neuchatel (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Massagno will play against Lausanne (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
