There was an upset when higher ranked AEC Collblanc (10-6) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Castellbisbal (8-9) 77-72 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But AEC Collblanc won third quarter 21-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded AEC Collblanc 41-29 including 26 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was guard Felix Lopez (190-85) who scored 16 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Forward Marc Manes (196-86) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Castellbisbal players scored in double figures. Castellbisbal's coach Raul Martinez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Power forward Roger Juan (200-82) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Marc Pico (198-88) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Castellbisbal moved-up to seventh place in Group C-A, which they share with Cornella. Loser AEC Collblanc keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Castellbisbal will face league's leader Calvia at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. AEC Collblanc will play against Salt and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
