Regular Season Round 24: ALS Basket - Lorient 74-69

Not a big story in a game in Andrezieux where 17th ranked Lorient (9-15) was defeated by eighth ranked ALS Basket (12-12) 74-69. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Lorient was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 21-10 third quarter run of ALS Basket. They outrebounded Lorient 43-23 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a good game for point guard Jerrold Brooks (183-91, college: S.Mississippi, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 4 assists. Forward Perris Blackwell (205-91, college: Washington) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Lorient players scored in double figures. Newly promoted ALS Basket maintains eighth position with 12-12 record. Lorient at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventeenth place with 15 games lost. ALS Basket's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked CFBB (#18) in Paris and are hoping to win another game. Lorient will play at home against Souffelweyersheim and hope to win that game.
