Leader Xinjiang Flying Tige delivered the 32th victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed 11th ranked TianJin Steel (18-20) 123-83 in Urumqi. Xinjiang Flying Tige dominated down low during the game scoring 86 of its points in the paint compared to TianJin Steel's 44. Xinjiang Flying Tige forced 20 TianJin Steel turnovers and outrebounded them 52-32 including a 35-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Xinjiang Flying Tige looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by TianJin Steel's players. The former international power forward TongLin Sun (208-92) had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international center Qi Zhou (217-96) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. American forward Jeremy Tyler (208-91, college: Louisville) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and American-Ukrainian point guard Eugene Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) scored 24 points and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Five Xinjiang Flying Tige and four TianJin Steel players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Xinjiang Flying Tige (32-6) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Loser TianJin Steel keeps the eleventh place with 20 games lost.
