Regular Season Round 18: Valga - Noorteliiga 108-53

Bottom-ranked Noorteliiga is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 14th consecutive match to eighth ranked Valga (6-13) 108-53. The game was mostly controlled by Valga. Noorteliiga was better in fourth quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Noorteliiga 41-26 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Valga shot the lights out from three nailing 21 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Noorteliiga's players. The former international point guard Valmo Kriisa (192-74) scored 26 points and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Rain Raadik (208-89) chipped in 12 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five Valga players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Taavi Jurkatamm (201-97) with 16 points and 6 rebounds and forward Karl-Robin Jurjens (202-96) scored 7 points. Noorteliiga's coach Indrek Visnapuu gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Valga moved-up to seventh place. Noorteliiga at the other side still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Valga will play against league's leader TU/Rock in Tartu in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Noorteliiga will have a break next round.
