Regular Season Round 11: Hong Kong ELL - Kaohsiung 103-83

Very significant was Hong Kong Hong Kong ELL's (#1, 11-2) victory against 4th placed Taiwanese Kaohsiung (5-10) 103-83. The game without a history. Hong Kong ELL led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Hong Kong ELL outrebounded Kaohsiung 41-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. American guard Tyler Lamb (196-91, college: Long Beach St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import power forward Josh Boone (208-84, college: Connecticut) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Hong Kong ELL players scored in double figures. American-Hungarian power forward Derek Hall (211-90, college: Albright) answered with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists and American forward Chris Oliver (201-85, college: Radford) added 19 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Kaohsiung. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Hong Kong ELL. They maintain first place with 11-2 record. Kaohsiung at the other side dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. Hong Kong ELL's next round opponent will be again Kaohsiung (#5) in Kaohsiung City.
