Regular Season Round 25: St Vallier - SAP Vaucluse 88-61
Date: February 25, 2017
No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Saint Vallier (12-13) smashed at home 15th ranked SAP Vaucluse (10-15) 88-61 on Saturday. The game without a history. Saint Vallier led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Saint Vallier forced 23 SAP Vaucluse turnovers. American point guard Omar Strong (175-90, college: Texas Southern) fired 27 points and 4 assists for the winners. His fellow American import power forward Steffon Bradford (198-77, college: Nebraska) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Four Saint Vallier players scored in double figures. Lithuanian forward Darius Tarvydas (200-91) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and Bahamas forward Bennet Davis (206-84, college: Northeastern, agency: Inception Sports) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Saint Vallier moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Gries/Oberhoffen and Chartres. Loser SAP Vaucluse dropped to the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Saint Vallier will face higher ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SAP Vaucluse will play against Union Rennes (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
