Regular Season Round 23: EWE Baskets - Ratiopharm 88-96

BBL top team - ratiopharm Ulm (22-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked EWE Baskets (13-9) in Oldenburg 96-88. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of EWE Baskets. EWE Baskets were plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a quality performance for power forward Raymar Morgan (203-88, college: Michigan St.) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Braydon Hobbs (196-89, college: Bellarmine) accounted for 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Guard Chris Kramer (191-88, college: Purdue) came up with 28 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and center Brian Qvale (210-88, college: Montana) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively for EWE Baskets in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ratiopharm Ulm have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 22-0 record. EWE Baskets at the other side dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. ratiopharm Ulm will play against SC Rasta Vechta (#17) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. EWE Baskets will play against s Oliver Baskets (#15) in Wuerzburg and hope to get back on the winning track.
