Regular Season Round 13: Feni Industries - Strumica 97-69
Date: February 25, 2017
Rather expected game in Kavadarci where 5th ranked Strumica (5-7) was crushed by second ranked Feni Industries (11-2) 97-69 on Saturday. The game without a history. Feni Industries led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Feni Industries outrebounded Strumica 46-25 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international power forward Kiril Nikolovski (210-88) fired 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Serbian power forward Branislav Djekic (209-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four Feni Industries players scored in double figures. Serbian forward Petar Jokic (201-91) produced 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists and the former international forward Vladimir Brckov (200-89, agency: BeoBasket) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Feni Industries keep a position of league leader, which they share with Rabotnicki. Strumica at the other side keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. Feni Industries will meet Pelister Bitola (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Strumica will play against Kumanovo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
