Second Stage Round 3: CEZ Nymburk - BK Opava 84-77

CEZ Nymburk delivered the twenty fourth victory. This time they beat BK Opava (13-12) 84-77. CEZ Nymburk made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. CEZ Nymburk outrebounded BK Opava 44-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American guard Bryon Allen (193-92, college: George Mason) who led his team to a victory with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international guard Jiri Welsch (199-80) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Vaclav Bujnoch (200-93, college: Des Moines Area CC) answered with 16 points and the former international guard Radim Klecka (189-90) added 17 points in the effort for BK Opava. Four BK Opava players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. CEZ Nymburk will play against BK Pardubice at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BK Opava will play against BK Kolin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
