Regular Season Round 19: Bashkimi - Trepca 79-70

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Prizren. Second ranked Bashkimi faced 4th placed Trepca. Host Bashkimi (14-3) defeated guests from Mitrovice (12-7) 79-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Trepca. The game without a history. Bashkimi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Bashkimi forced 23 Trepca turnovers. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Justin Black (188-92, college: Morgan St., agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 8 assists. Forward Kayel Locke (196-94, college: NC-Greensboro) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Jeremy Wise (191-86, college: S.Mississippi) answered with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Eric Stutz (203-92, college: E.Kentucky) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Trepca. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bashkimi have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 14-3 record behind leader Sigal Prishtina. Trepca at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Bashkimi will play against Rahoveci (#6) on the road in the next round. Trepca will play against the league's leader Sigal Prishtina and hopes to get back on the winning track.
