Finals Game 1: Bayi - Beijing 57-92

Beijing fired past Bayi in WCBA Finals opener. The game was mostly controlled by Beijing Great Wall. Bayi Kylin managed to win fourth quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Beijing Great Wall dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Bayi Kylin's 32. Beijing Great Wall forced 24 Bayi Kylin turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Bayi Kylin's players. American center Sylvia Fowles (198-85, college: LSU) fired 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners. International Song Gao (188-92) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Beijing Great Wall's coach LiMin Xu felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International center Mengran Sun (197-92) produced 16 points and 7 rebounds and forward Xue Wang (185-93) added 8 points respectively for lost side.
