Regular Season Round 22: Iseo - Sestu 82-88

Rather predictable result when thirteenth ranked Sestu (8-15) won against on the road 16th ranked Iseo (5-17) 88-82 on Sunday. Sestu made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Iseo was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for Giuliano Samoggia (200-83) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Dario Scodavolpe (193-83) contributed with 24 points and 5 assists for the winners. Gianluigi Prestini (200-89, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and point guard Andrea Leone (186-94) added 13 points and 5 assists in the effort for Iseo. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sestu have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to twelfth place in B. Iseo at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the sixteenth position with 17 games lost. Sestu will face higher ranked Cento (#4) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Iseo will play against Lecco (#6) and hope to win that game.
