Hong Kong leader Hong Kong ELL recorded the thirteenth victory on Friday night. This time they crushed 6th ranked Malaysian KL Dragons (4-13) 115-90 in Kuala Lumpur. The game without a history. Hong Kong ELL led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was power forward Josh Boone (208-84, college: Connecticut) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Marcus Elliott (191-84, college: Louisiana Tech) chipped in 25 points and 9 assists. Four Hong Kong ELL players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Kiwi Gardner (170-93, college: Providence) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and power forward Skylar Spencer (208-94, college: San Diego St.) added 20 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hong Kong ELL (13-2) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position. KL Dragons lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. Hong Kong ELL will face Alab Pilipinas (#3) in Manila in the next round, which may be the game of the day. KL Dragons will play on the road against Saigon Heat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
