Rather predictable result when first ranked Benidorm (6-4) defeated at home 5th ranked Almassera (2-8) 78-68 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Benidorm. Almassera was better in fourth quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Benidorm looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Almassera's players. American forward Joscar Demby (203-88, college: Millikin) scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Alejandro Jorda (193-95, college: Cuesta JC) chipped in 19 points during the contest. Benidorm's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side forward Matias Boho (193-96) responded with 24 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Joaquin Rodenas (186-90) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Benidorm maintains first position in Group E Descen with 6-4 record, which they share with L Alfas. Almassera lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with eight games lost.
