Regular Season Round 22: Castellbisbal - Barna 82-59

Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Barna (6-13) was rolled over on the road by eighth ranked Castellbisbal (10-9) 82-59 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-59. Castellbisbal dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Barna's 24. They outrebounded Barna 37-15 including a 25-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Castellbisbal looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Terrelle Green (190, college: Robert Morris) scored 21 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Felix Lopez (190-85) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists during the contest. Five Castellbisbal players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard David Capellas (192-81) responded with 16 points and point guard Marc Rabaseda (182-93) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Castellbisbal have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place in Group C-A, which they share with Cornella and Arenys. Barna lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. Castellbisbal will face Mataro (#12) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Barna will play against Salt and hope to win that game.
