Regular Season Round 43: Cyberdyne IR - Bambitious Nara 88-72

Everything could happen in Tsukuba at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Cyberdyne IR and 4th placed Bambitious Nara had identical 15-25 record. This time Cyberdyne IR used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Nara 88-72 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Cyberdyne IR. Bambitious Nara was better in second period 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Bambitious Nara 38-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. Cyberdyne IR looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. British power forward Dzaflo Larkai (203-81, college: Bellarmine, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 20 points and 5 rebounds. Four Cyberdyne IR players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) responded with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Shuhei Komatsu (185-85) scored 14 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Cyberdyne IR maintains fifth place with 16-25 record. Bambitious Nara lost their third game in a row. They keep the fourth position with 26 games lost. Cyberdyne IR will face again higher ranked Bambitious Nara (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
