There was no surprise in Thessaloniki where 9th ranked Aiolos Trikallon (8-12) was defeated by fifth ranked PAOK (11-9) 97-86. Aiolos Trikallon was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. PAOK made 26-of-34 charity shots (76.5 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Aiolos Trikallon helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by American power forward Keith Clanton (205-90, college: Cent.Florida) who scored that evening 20 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard Thaddus McFadden (188-87, college: Fairmont St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) supported him with 20 points and 4 assists. PAOK's coach Soulis Markopoulos used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest.
