Guantanamo outgunned Capitalinas to take 2-0 lead in the Liga Superior Finals. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 27-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Guantanamo dominated on the defensive end, holding Capitalinas to just 5 points in third quarter. They also forced 21 Capitalinas turnovers. Point guard Dianelis Mosqueda (162-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points. Point guard Barbara Martinez (169-95) contributed with 14 points for the winners.
