Regular Season Round 26: AZS PS Gliwice - Pogon RS 87-57

There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Pogon RS (9-15) was smashed on the road by tenth ranked AZS PS Gliwice (7-17) 87-57 on Sunday. AZS PS Gliwice made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 30 Pogon RS turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Pogon RS's players. Guard Maciej Wasowicz (182-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points, 9 assists and 6 steals. Center Piotr Krupa (204-88) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four AZS PS Gliwice players scored in double figures. Forward Aleksander Maslanka (195-91) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Mateusz Pawlik (180-92) added 14 points in the effort for Pogon RS. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. AZS PS Gliwice maintains tenth position with 7-17 record, which they share with MKS DG 2. Loser Pogon RS keeps the eighth place with 15 games lost.
