Semi-Finals Game 3: Dandenong - Perth 81-63

Date: March 5, 2017
Dandenong defeated Perth in the decisive third game of the semifinal series and sealed their WNBL Grand Final appearance. The game was mostly controlled by Dandenong Rangers. Perth Lynx managed to win second period 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dandenong Rangers made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Perth Lynx helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for the former international guard Stephanie Cumming (178-90) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Jacinta Kennedy (187-82) helped adding 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Dandenong Rangers players scored in double figures. Dandenong Rangers' coach Larissa Anderson used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American swingman Samantha Whitcomb (178-88, college: Washington) with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Canadian center Ruth Hamblin (198-94, college: Oregon St., agency: LBM Management) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds.
