Semi-Finals Game 1: Punjab S. - Mumbai Ch. 114-128

Mumbai jumped ahead in the semifinal series versus Punjab. Mumbai Ch. forced 23 Punjab S. turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Punjab S. was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Alex Scales (192-78, college: Oregon) nailed 36 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Canadian Jimmy Scroggins (, college: Regina) accounted for 34 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. American guard Dermaine Crockrell (185-89, college: Bemidji St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 50 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international forward Ravi Kumar (199-87) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Punjab S. in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
