Regular Season Round 24: BSW Sixers - Stade 70-66
Date: March 11, 2017
The game between Top Four teams took place in Sandersdorf. Third ranked host Sixers (13-4) defeated second-best Stade (12-4) 70-66. It was a key game for the second position in North. Sixers made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American forward Terrence Williams (198-93, college: Charlotte) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and Croatian swingman Sandro Kordis (195-92) supported him with 18 points. Even 20 points and 4 assists by point guard Martin Kemp (183-85) did not help to save the game for Stade. Spanish forward Damian Cortes-Rey (194-96) added 15 points and 7 rebounds. Stade's coach Nemo Weber tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Sixers have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in North. Stade at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. Sixers will play against Aschersleben (#4) on the road in the next round. Stade will play against Rendsburg and hopes to get back on the winning track.
