Regular Season Round 24: Lich II - Schwenningen 64-66

Fourth-ranked Lich II (14-8) gave a tough game to first ranked BV Villingen-Schwenningen (20-3) on Saturday. The visitors from Schwenningen managed to secure only two-point victory 66-64. However their fans expected easier game. BV Villingen-Schwenningen made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Tabari Perry (203, college: Slippery Rock) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds and Slovenian guard Jaka Zagorc (192-90) who added 11 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international Johannes Lischka (203-87) with 24 points and 6 rebounds and Ugur-Murat Kuelhan scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. BV Villingen-Schwenningen have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position in South-West with 20-3 record. Newly promoted Lich II keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. BV Villingen-Schwenningen are looking forward to face Speyer (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Lich II will play against Stuttgart and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
