Regular Season Round 21: AGOR - PAOK 73-70

The most exciting game of round 21 in the A1 took place in Rethymno. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked PAOK (11-10) to seventh ranked AGOR (10-11) 73-70 on Saturday evening. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-15. But PAOK won second period 22-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when AGOR won last quarter 15-13. It was a good game for American forward Robert Arnold (198-88, college: Boise St.) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Toarlyn Fitzpatrick (203-89, college: S.Florida) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four AGOR players scored in double figures. Australian guard Nathan Sobey (190-90, college: Wyoming) answered with 14 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Keith Clanton (205-90, college: Cent.Florida) added 13 points in the effort for PAOK. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. AGOR maintains seventh place with 10-11 record. PAOK at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with Kolossos HH. AGOR are looking forward to face Promitheas (#8) in Patras in the next round. PAOK will play at home against Kymis and is hoping to win this game.
