Regular Season Round 24: Treuchtlingen - Zwickau 101-88

Very predictable result in Treutchlingen where third ranked Treuchtlingen (15-6) defeated 12th ranked Zwickau (7-15) 101-88 on Saturday. Treuchtlingen made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game. Treuchtlingen outrebounded Zwickau 43-32 including 35 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Zwickau was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Tim Eisenberger (197-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 9 assists and forward Stefan Schmoll (196-89) who added 27 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. Treuchtlingen's coach Stephen Harlander allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was guard Hendrik Bellscheidt (193-90) with 26 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and Romanian-Moldovan swingman Alexei Andrus (195-79) scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Zwickau players scored in double figures. Treuchtlingen maintains third position in South-East with 15-6 record having six points less than leader Schwelm. Zwickau lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 15 games lost. Treuchtlingen will face TSV Troester (#5) in Breitenguessbach in the next round. Zwickau will play at home against Schwabing (#8) and hope to win that game.
