Second Stage Round 3: Sokol Pisek - Ostrava 81-53

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Ostrava's (8-13) road loss to Sokol Pisek (10-11) 53-81 on Sunday. Sokol Pisek forced 21 Ostrava turnovers and outrebounded them 41-30 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for swingman Petr Slechta (192-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points and 8 rebounds. Center Dalibor Fait (203-93) helped adding 23 points and 7 rebounds. Sokol Pisek's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The best for the losing side was guard Michal Palat (194-90) with 13 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Marek Gerych (185-88) scored 18 points and 4 steals. Sokol Pisek will face BK Prostejov B (#14) on the road in the next round. Ostrava will play against USK Praha B and hope to win that game.
