Regular Season Round 25: Telekom Bsk - Ratiopharm 69-87

BBL top team - ratiopharm Ulm (24-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Telekom Baskets (14-9) in Bonn 87-69. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Telekom Baskets. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Raymar Morgan (203-88, college: Michigan St.) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Chris Babb (196-90, college: Iowa St.) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four ratiopharm Ulm players scored in double figures. American swingman Ryan Thompson (198-89, college: Rider, agency: BeoBasket) answered with 20 points and naturalized Cuban swingman Yorman-Polas Bartolo (192-85) added 14 points in the effort for Telekom Baskets. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ratiopharm Ulm have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 24-0 record. Defending champion Telekom Baskets keep the sixth position with nine games lost. ratiopharm Ulm are looking forward to face ALBA Berlin (#5) at home in the next round. Telekom Baskets will play against Eisbaeren Bremerhaven and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
