Regular Season Round 24: Jesi - Ravenna 85-88

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Ravenna (16-8) edged on the road 9th ranked Jesi (11-13) 88-85 on Sunday. It was a good game for American power forward Taylor Smith (199-91, college: SF Austin) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks. Point guard Gherardo Sabatini (181-94) contributed with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American point guard Timothy Bowers (188-82, college: Mississippi St.) replied with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists and his fellow American import forward Dwayne Davis (196-89, college: S.Mississippi) added 29 points and 4 assists in the effort for Jesi. Five Ravenna and four Jesi players scored in double figures. Ravenna moved-up to third place in A2. Loser Jesi keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost. Ravenna will face league's second-placed Treviso Basket at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Jesi will play against Bondi Ferrara (#12) and hope to win that game.
