Very expected game when 12th ranked Maccabi K/G (4-18) was crushed on the road by second ranked Hapoel Holon (15-7) 98-66 on Monday. Hapoel Holon looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Maccabi K/G's players. Americans were the main players on the court. Swingman James Bell (197-92, college: Villanova) scored 23 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Tu Holloway (182-89, college: Xavier) chipped in 22 points and 6 assists during the contest. Hapoel Holon's coach Dan Shamir felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side swingman Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 20 points and power forward Curtis Kelly (204-88, college: Kansas St., agency: HMS) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hapoel Holon maintains second position with 15-7 record behind leader Maccabi T-A. Loser Maccabi K/G stay at the bottom place with 18 games lost.
