Giants advanced into the semifinal stage as they beat Pirates on the road. Pirates trailed by 17 points after 3 quarters before a 38-29 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 88-96 at the end of the game. Giants forced 20 Pirates turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international Michael Bain scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Jeffrey Henfield (193-85, college: Tarleton St.) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. American Domonique Fernander (, college: Hobart) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Kevin Wright (178, college: Bevill St.Sumiton JC) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Pirates players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games.
