Second Stage Round 6: J.Hradec - NH Ostrava 89-82

There was a small surprise in J.Hradec where eleventh ranked BK Lions Hradec (9-19) defeated 9th ranked NH Ostrava (10-18) 89-82. BK Lions Hradec made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. American guard Malcolm Brooks (196-92, college: CS Fullerton) notched 27 points and 5 assists (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Terrell Lipkins (180-91, college: Montevallo) supported him with 17 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. BK Lions Hradec's coach Karel Forejt allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 15 points and 15 rebounds by American center Deshawn Painter (205-90, college: ODU) did not help to save the game for NH Ostrava. The former international forward Petr Bohacik (205-85) added 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four NH Ostrava players scored in double figures. BK Lions Hradec maintains eleventh position in Places 7-12 with 9-19 record, which they share with Prostejov. NH Ostrava at the other side keeps the ninth place with 18 games lost. BK Lions Hradec's next round opponent will be higher ranked Basketbal Svitavy (#7) on the road and it may be quite challenging game.
