Very significant was Astana Tigers' (#1, 12-0) victory against second-best Irtysh (3-9) 67-61. Astana Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Irtysh's 26. Astana Tigers forced 20 Irtysh turnovers. The best player for the winners was Ukrainian guard Olga Dubrovina (170-87) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. The former international center Anna Vinokurova (192-92) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Astana Tigers players scored in double figures.
