Semi-Finals Game 4: Liaoning FL - Xinjiang FT 109-107

Liaoning escaped elimination as they narrowly beat Xinjiang for the vital first win in the series. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 33-25. But Xinjiang Flying Tige won second period 32-29. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Flying Leopards forced 20 Xinjiang Flying Tige turnovers. Strangely Xinjiang Flying Tige outrebounded Flying Leopards 50-36 including a 43-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Ailun Guo (192-93) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds. American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) contributed with 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. International center Qi Zhou (217-96) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds and American-Filipino power forward Andray Blatche (211-86) added 15 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Xinjiang Flying Tige. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Xinjiang Flying Tige's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
