Regular Season Round 11: Kentucky M. - Rochester R. 110-115

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Owensboro. Second ranked Rochester RazorSharks faced second-ranked Mavericks. Guests from Rochester (12-2) defeated host Mavericks (12-3) 115-110. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Rochester RazorSharks forced 19 Mavericks turnovers. Guard Corey Allmond (188-88, college: Sam Houston St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 5 assists. Guard Melvin Council (191-82, college: Robert Morris) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Power forward Gerard DeVaughn (206-88, college: Stillman) answered with 26 points and 9 rebounds and guard Ben Vozzola (198-92, college: St.Catharine) added 27 points, 5 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Mavericks. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Rochester RazorSharks have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Mavericks at the other side keep the second place with three games lost. Rochester RazorSharks will play against Jackals (#4) in Jamestown in the next round. Mavericks will play on the road against Sky Chiefs in Providence and hope to get back on the winning track.
