Very predictable result when fourth ranked Geneve Lions (13-7) defeated at home bottom-ranked Winterthur (2-18) 83-76 on Saturday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 29-12. But Winterthur won second period 25-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americans were the main players on the court. Point guard Kelvin Parker (184-82, college: NW Missouri St.) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. Forward Chris Braswell (206-89, college: Charlotte) chipped in 16 points. Four Geneve Lions players scored in double figures. Guard Rashad Whack (190-91, college: Mt.St.Mary's) produced 27 points and swingman Shane Southwell (201-92, college: Kansas St.) added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Geneve Lions moved-up to third place, which they share with Neuchatel and Lugano Tigers. Winterthur lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 18 lost games.
