Regular Season Round 34: Budivelnyk - Mykolaiv 118-80

Leader Budivelnyk delivered the twenty fifth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Mykolaiv (11-16) 118-80 in Kyiv. The game was mostly controlled by Budivelnyk. Mykolaiv managed to win second period 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Budivelnyk dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Mykolaiv's 34. They outrebounded Mykolaiv 40-28 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Budivelnyk shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Mykolaiv's players. American guard Brandon Fields (193-88, college: Nevada) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. The other American import point guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Budivelnyk players scored in double figures. Budivelnyk's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international power forward Artem Shvets (201-85) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Artem Chemiakin (208-84) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Budivelnyk (25-2) have an impressive 17-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Mykolaiv at the other side keeps the seventh place with 16 games lost.
