Second Stage Round 2: Kozuv - MZT Skopje 71-77

The game between Top Four teams took place in Gevgelija. host Kozuv (0-2) lost to MZT Skopje (2-0) 77-71. It looked good early as Kozuv took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then MZT Skopje took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 6 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Kozuv's 36. Croatian center Jure Lalic (211-86) notched 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Serbian swingman Djordje Drenovac (201-92) supported him with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Even 19 points and 4 assists by American point guard Kenyon McNeaill (185-91, college: Louisiana Tech) did not help to save the game for Kozuv. Serbian-Bosnian forward Nikola Djurasovic (197-83) added 16 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. MZT Skopje's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Skopje Rabotnicki.
