Everything went according to plan when third ranked Valmontone (19-5) outscored at home 15th ranked Viterbo SA (4-20) 88-68 on Sunday. Valmontone looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Viterbo SA's players. Viterbo SA was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Antonio De-Fabritiis (189-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Andrea Martino (195-95) who added 15 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Riccardo Rovere (196-94) with 21 points and Guilio Cianci (180-96) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Valmontone moved-up to second place in B. Loser Viterbo SA keeps the fifteenth position with 20 games lost. Valmontone will face Teramo (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Viterbo SA will play against Roma S.Azzurra (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
