The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Hong Kong Hong Kong ELL (16-4) in Manila on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Filipino Alab Pilipinas (10-9) 82-75. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 44-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Alab Pilipinas dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Hong Kong ELL's 32. Alab Pilipinas maintains third position with 10-9 record having seven points less than leader Hong Kong ELL. Hong Kong ELL at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost. Alab Pilipinas are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Kaohsiung (#6) in Kaohsiung City in the next round. Hong Kong ELL will have a break next round.
